Water Wood Baba Yaga

The WW model Baba Yaga crankbaits are built on the heritage of the first squre bill baits developed in the early 60’s in Florida, but their effectiveness extends to anywhere you want to fish a crankbait on top of grass, rock or heavy cover.

Offering a bigger profile for times when you need more water movement or want to imitate larger prey. They’re among our few crankbaits that are intended to “hunt” during the retrieve in order to trigger strikes, and they excel when bass are feeding on larger prey.

Due to the larger profile, rounded body  and heavier weight the Baba Yaga can be casted “a mile away”. The rounded edge bill helps to rip the bait out of gras and deflect well off of cover such as rocks and heavy wood. Savvy anglers know that they’re not just deadly around rock cover, though. The larger profile and heavy vibration mean that they come through buck brush and other thick cover remarkably well, and because of the heavy thump they excel in dirtier water.

The WW Baba Yaga comes in Standard and Deep models, so you can offer up the same productive body style and action in two distinct depth ranges as the bite changes throughout the day.

As with all Water Wood crankbaits, each Baba Yaga is water-tested, tuned and completely inspected before being put in the hands of serious anglers. This hard-thumping tool may be small, but thanks to our use of heavy-duty components you can expect it to catch big bass lurking around rock cover – and the quality paint job will continue to look new.
